Matata were a Kenyan group. I feel funky was quite a hit in Britain, and was much funkier than their earlier stuff (like Wild River, though that ain't bad). Their second album = Independence - is full of kick-ass funk tracks. These guys are as tight as the JB's and sometimes a lot funkier. You need this album!
