This group was led by gospel singer OC Tolbert (his real name is Albert Cleveland Tolbert but his father nicknamed him OC after his brother), not OC Wright. Tolbert emphasized collectivity, and put his organization skills to use at a nursing home in Selma, Alabama. He decided he wanted to switch to rock (rhythm and blues) and moved to Detroit. Damn Sam Miracle Man recordings were produced by Jack Taylor. Personnel include:

Ben Littles musical director, trumpeter and trombonist
Love Star Music lyrics
AJ Branham vocals
Rudy Thompson vocals
Dave Newton drums
Greg Whitfield bongos and electric congos
Tony Trice bass
Toby Childs guitar
Johnathan Scott lead guitar
Ben James keyboards
Good Sister tambourine
Ben Littles trombone and trumpet
Lewellen Sutherland tenor sax
Richard Dilligard trumpet
