Young, Inell - The Next Ball Game

It's difficult to determine who the true star of this record is: the highly talented Inell Young or the much lesser known but equally talented drummer James Black. Young only had three records on three different labels (Busy-B, Big-9 and Libra), yet Black was much more prolific. Black got his start as a trumpeter in New Orleans, and later switched to jazz collaborations as a drummer with Nat and Cannonball Adderley. Black also played drums on several major Eddie Bo records: David Robinson's "I'm a Carpenter", "Lover and a Friend", "We're Doin' It (Thang)", "Hook and Sling", "Check Your Bucket", The Explosions' "Hip Drop" and on Mary Jane Hooper's records. This is the second rarest Young record.
