The Tina issue came before the Betty issue. Tina is a North Carolina label, Betty is a Louisiana label.

A friend has spoken with friends of Billy Mack (now deceaced) who say that he was a church organist who only ever played on a few secular records. Another is the organ instrumental version of "In the Midnight Hour" on the flip side of Ann Mason's Atlantic single, there credited to Little Mac and the Boss Sounds. This was recorded in Greensboro as I understand it.

my copy is on TINA (501-1) but I've seen people slangin the record on the Betty label too. I'm thinkin the Betty issue is the original - but the Betty says "BMI Tina Music" on it so sheet I dunno.

Anyways this bastard is damn good - and cheap. got mine for 8 beans from recordsbymail.com - which is cheap for 'ol craig nowadays.

see a scan of it on my site (www.rehashmedia.com) or - odds are you can see a pic on ebay right htis very minute.
