I'm pretty sure the musicians on this recording are as follows...Howard Grimes and Al Jackson~Drums...Leroy Hodges~Bass...Charles(or "Charlie") Hodges~Organ/Piano...Tennie Hodges~Guitar...Wayne Jackson~Trumpet...Andrew Love and Ed Logan on Tenor Sax...James Mitchell on Baritone Sax...and Jack Hale on Trombone. These guys are the essential backbone to the Willie Mitchell sound on Hi records. Check out the Martinis record on this site to hear some more Leroy Hodges bass playing from the earlier side of things...

this song appears on the "Willie Mitchell's Driving Beat" lp, Hi Records HL12029, from 1966. My copy is mono, but there is also a stereo version, SHL32029, according to the back cover. Produced by Joe Cuoghi, with Ray Harris as engineer. Unfortunately, the album does not name any of the musicians.
