True Soul is a record label from Little Rock, Arkansas. Lee Anthony(LA) was the owner and producer of this label. LA also owned and ran a record store called Soul Brother Records on MLK Blvd. in Little Rock, which closed down after over 30 years of operation due to tornado damage. Lee is now a music teacher at a local High School. He still owns and runs the studio, although today he uses it for commercial purposes (radio spots and stuff like that).

According to LA, Little Rock did not have much of a scene back then and True Soul was about the only local label releasing Funk and Soul. Little Rock, however, was only an hour or so up the road from Memphis when Stax and Volt where turning out all of there hit records. LA would often buy old studio equipment from Stax and Volt and use that equipment to produce his own releases.

Other True Soul funk 45s include:
Larry Davis - Down Home Funk
Right Track - I Gotta Move With the Groove
Thomas East - Funky Music

Vibrettes - Humpty Dump

Dayton Sidewinders - Go Ahead On
