SONG WAS WRITTEN BY LITTLE BEAVER (WILLIE HALE) WHO RECORDED IT 1ST WITH FRANK WILLIAMS ROCKETEERS (DEEP CITY 2369) THEN LICENSED IT TO PHIL-LA OF SOUL. THE HELENE SMITH VERSION CAME OUT 1ST ON DEEP CITY 2390 WITH "PAIN IN MY HEART" ON THE FLIP. B-SIDE ON MY PHIL-LA COPY IS "(WITHOUT) SOME KIND OF MAN)"
